The history of pozole

It is an honor for us as a family to be able to share this tradition and heritage with you. we welcome you to take part in keeping this tradition alive an well.

Having had its origin in pre-Hispanic México, pozole is recognized as one of Mexico's most traditional foods, and as such it has become an ever present dish in parties and fetive events in Mexican culture.

In the Nahuatl dialect, wich had its origin in Mexico, "pozolli" translates to foam. When the corn used in the pozole is boiled, the kernels open up resembling a flower's bloom and produce a light layer of foam, wich is where pozole gets its name from.
